Orders and Labels

There are two approaches to generate UPS shipping labels. The first one is to generate and print multiple shipping labels at once for selected orders by clicking the "Generate shipping labels for selected" and "Print UPS labels for selected" buttons on the "Orders Management" (orders' list) page of administrator back-end.

Another way to generate labels is generating them by clicking the "Generate Label" button in the "Ship order" section from the order details page.

Note: the "Ship order" section appears only if the shipping method selected by customer is an UPS shipping method overwise the form is hidden.

The section allows to adjust some package details like package size and weight and desired shipping method right before shipping label generation.

Once you click "Generate shipping labels for selected" button or "Generate Label" button you will see a list of shipping label generation results. Here you will be able to select generated shipping labels to print or view errors raised during label generation.

Also, as soon as a label generated it appears in the "Ship order" section on the "Order Details" page. The shipping label transaction information (e.g. status, the exact shipping cost, delivery date) is also displayed there. If label generation failed, the reason would be displayed instead.

You can void the label from the UPS system by clicking the "Delete shipment" button below the label (it also deletes the label and tracking number from the X-Cart's order).
