FedEx Shipment Tracking module for X-Cart



Introduction

X-Cart store owners can enable up-to-date shipment status reports with the ShippingKit Shipments Tracking add-on. In order to track a package you have shipped via FedEx, the courier must scan the package before the package information has been entered into the FedEx database. If you have a package that has been scanned, it's possible to track that package by utilizing FedEx Direct API.

The end users perform tracking with a single click on the "Orders history" page. The add-on fetches all available information for tracking numbers and displays it to customers. The tracking information is updated each time the shipment is scanned in the FedEx system.

    The FedEx scan records contain the following information:
  • Origin and destination addresses
  • Ship date and estimated delivery date
  • Scan data from shipment movement through the FedEx system
  • Current location and status of the shipment
