1. Introduction

Each person who is going to use FedEx services needs to subscribe to the FedEx first. To use our FedEx Subscription, FedEx Rates, FedEx Ship and FedEx Track modules you have to register to FedEx Ship Manager Direct.

FedEx provides an unique "meter number" which is tied to the customer's FedEx account number and necessary to integrate with FedEx Ship Manager Direct. The meter number and FedEx account number indentify the origin of your packages for shipping rates calculation, shipping labels generation, etc. FedEx requires subscribing to each server you intend to use (test or production servers).

FedEx Subscription module for X-Cart allows you to obtain the meter number instantly from administration back-end of your X-Cart store. You should just login to the administration back-end and fill in your contact and address information to get a meter number. Once you subscribe to FedEx, you'll be able to use the meter number to gain access to the FedEx services like shipping rates calculation, shipping labels generation, etc.

Notice, this module also allows you to update the contact and address information for existing FedEx meter number.
